10/1/07 Halloween horror reviews and more

9/19/07 New reviews of a zombie book, a new Cthulhu title, and y/a vampire titles

In this update, Bret Jordan reviews Gregory Solis's zombie tale Rise and Walk in the adult Zombie section. Bob Freeman reviews Fireworks by James A. Moore in the adult Human Horror section. David Agranoff reviews Chemical Gardens by Gina Ranalli in the new adult Bizarro fiction section. The Monster Librarian reviews High Seas Cthulhu edited by William Jones in the adult Cthulhu Mythos section. A review was sent in for The Grandmaster by Peter A Balaskas from Stella in the Human Horror section. Havoc reviews by Rags and Old Iron by Lorelie Shannon in the Human Horror section. Havoc also reviews two young adult vampire books Glass Houses: The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine and Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer. 9/3/07 Reviews for adults, y/a, children, contests, and more

I want to welcome two new reviewers, Bob Freeman and David Agranoff, to the staff of MonsterLibrarian.com. We are excited to have them join us. In this update, Bob Freeman reviews Elder Signs Press's periodical Dark Wisdom edited by William Jones in the Horror Magazine section. The Angry Princess reviews Zoe Whitten's The Lesser Of Two Evils in the adult Human Horror section. The Monster Librarian reviews Midlisters by Kealan Patrick Burke also in the human horror section. There is a review for Eric S Brown's zombie chapbook Zombies II;Inhuman in the zombie section. For those who like young adult vampire fiction there is a review of Melissa de la Cruz's follow up to Blue Bloods, Masquerade. For the children The Monster Librarian reviews Mirrorstone Book's A Practical Guide to Monsters by Nina Hess. In the Monster Librarian's Spotlight we focus on book trailers. For the next two months we are running a few Contests, including one surrounding David Morrell's Scavengers and art contests for both children and adults. Finally, there have been new entries added to the World War II Horror fiction list and an update on Rio Youer's End Times.

New reviews for horror anthologies, a zombie title, a Cthulhu title, and a title for young adults

Bret Jordan reviews David Moody's zombie novel Autumn: The City in the adult zombie section and Andre Duza's Jesus Freaks in the Apocalyptic Horror section. The Angry Princess reviews John Reid's Punishment And Sacrifice in the adult human horror section. There is a review of Elder Sign Press's Hardboiled Cthulhu edited by James Ambuehl in the Cthulhu Mythos section for adults. There is a review for horror short story collections Horror Library Volume II edited by R.J. Cavender, Apple of My Eye by Amy Grech, and Confessions of a Ghoul and other stories by M.F. Korn. Finally, Francesca the Librarian reviews Laura Amy Schlitz's A Drowned Maiden’s Hair: A Melodrama in the supernatural section for young adults.

5/10/07 New reviews for adults and young adults and links

Kate-Lynn Williams reviews Cate Tiernan's Book of Shadows and Coven the first two books in the Sweeps series in the young adult supernatural section. Patricia reviews Zoe Stead's The Amulet of Vichalace in the adult vampire section. For those who enjoy killer animal books there is a review of Brian Keene and J.F. Gonzalez's Clickers 2: The Next Wave. There is also a review of the chapbook Screams from a Dying World by David Arganoff in the adult something different section. There was an addition to the list of World War I and II horror related books and link to book reviews have been added. New links to small presses have been added to the Links page. There have been new sightings of MonsterLibrarian.com on the web which has been added to the Monstrous Sightings page. MonsterLibrarian.com even appeared in American Libraries Direct, a newsletter for librarians. A reminder that there are five days left in our Vampire Dawn contest found on the Contests page. 4/15/07 New reviews, upcoming horror releases, and contest

Bret Jordan reviews Rio Youers's End Times in the adult Something Different. Havoc reviews X-Rated Blood Suckers by Mario Acevedo in the adult vampire section, Kimberly Raye's Dead and Dateless in the Horror Romance Section, and starts off with our first young adult graphic novel review with a look at Matsuri Hino's Vampire Knight, Volume 1. Finally, a review of horror podcasting site Pseudopod. Additional links have been added to the Link Page, and the Coming Horror Fiction Releases page hass been updated fiwth new releases for May and June. Finally, MonsterLibrarian is having its first contest, go to the Contests page to enter to win a copy of Vampire Dawn by Philip Henry.
