Monster Librarian needs your help.

We have had several reviewers need to step back from reviewing for Monster Librarian recently. We aren’t a large review site, but we do need people willing to work as volunteer reviewers. We would especially like people willing to cover poetry, extreme horror, bizarro, literary horror, children’s, and YA (it’s not that we get huge numbers of titles in all of these areas, but they can be niche). Much of what we’ve been requested to review recently are titles from independent authors. I’d like to see us stretch to be more inclusive. As a Gen Xer, I’d also love to see some younger people participate.

If you are a librarian, educator, student, reader, or writer with knowledge of the horror genre, especially horror fiction, who would like to try reviewing for Monster Librarian, I would love to hear from you. My reviewers’ list in the past has included high school teachers, college students, social workers, a veterinary assistant, librarians, researchers, and even doctors. If you know and love horror, and are willing to write reviews, that’s what we are looking for. Please email me at:

If you’re not interested but think you know someone who would be please encourage them to email me as well. Thanks so much for being part of our community.
