Collins<\/p>\n<p>Biting Dog Publications, 2013<\/p>\n<p>ASIN:\u00a0 B00DAHLBG2<\/p>\n<p>Available: \u00a0ebook edition (Kindle, Nook)<\/p>\n<p>Part Four of <i>Absalom&#8217;s Wake <\/i>continues the adventure with our hero, Jonah Padgett, being rescued by the island native, Koro, from the sea&#8217;s embrace.\u00a0 At dinner, the captain learns that \u00a0King Jim, the most treacherous of all whales, was sighted three hundred miles southwest of Rapa Nui.\u00a0 The captain sets course, and two days later the ship is in the area, and the hunt is on!\u00a0 Two of the crew go missing with no explanation.\u00a0 The mystery is short-lived, as the ship is attacked by Shark-men!\u00a0 The savage Shark-men, of the Mako Kanaka tribe, take the crew to task.\u00a0 Many of the crew members are killed, including Captain Solomon.\u00a0 The crew retaliates by gunning down the vicious savages.\u00a0 The final blow is dealt by Koro, who harpoons their fleeing leader, One Eye.\u00a0 With Captain Solomon dead, what will happen to the hunt?<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Collins&#8217; tale continues to be just as strong as in the previous parts.\u00a0 The tone is consistent, with the characters&#8217; lives falling into a familiar routine.\u00a0 Their voices are strong and remain distinctive.\u00a0 The descriptions were vivid and the action sequences were gripping!\u00a0 The mystery continues, and I was left wanting more, more, more!\u00a0Recommended for adult audiences.<\/p>\n<p>Reviewed by:\u00a0 Aaron Fletcher<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Note: Absalom&#8217;s Wake is a six-part ebook serial.
