The awards honor outstanding achievement in the literature of psychological suspense, horror, and the dark fantastic. There are a lot of familiar names on the list&#8230; \u00a0some of the nominees were also candidates for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.monsterlibrarian.com\/Stoker2012.htm\">2011 Stoker Awards<\/a> (<em>&#8220;The Ballad of Ballard and Sandrine&#8221;<\/em> by Peter Straub,\u00a0<em>The Corn Maiden and Other Nightmares<\/em> by Joyce Carol Oates, <em>Red Gloves <\/em>by Christopher Fowler, <em>Supernatural Noir<\/em> edited by Ellen Datlow, <em>Blood and Other Cravings <\/em>edited by Ellen Datlow, and\u00a0<em>Ghosts by Gaslight<\/em> edited by Jack Dann and Nick Gevers), and there are others that we reviewed on there as well (<em>The Thackery T. Lambshead Cabinet of Curiosities <\/em>edited by Jeff and Ann VanderMeer, <em>The Last Werewolf <\/em>by Glen Duncan, and <em>Teeth<\/em> edited by Ellen Datlow and Terri Windling). I was also excited to see that Kelly Link and Kit Reed \u00a0appeared on the list. \u00a0The entire list of nominees and winners is below.
