(He abused her mother.) The tangled plot continues, exploring multiple corners and interpretations of existence.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">A dark, lovely break from superheroes (think Pan&#8217;s Labyrinth in feel), I really enjoyed it and recommend it for dark fantasy lovers.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Recommended for private and public collections, especially those looking for graphic novels other than typical comic fare.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Contains: violence, gore, nudity, on screen sex, language<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While Pretty Deadly volume 1 boasts some aggravating and &#8220;evocative&#8221; rather than clearly understandable art work, I ended up really liking the weird western-fairly tale vibe.
